• The Institute of Modern Greek Studies is pleased to announce that Professor Gene Lerner (University of California, Santa Barbara), one of the leading representatives of Conversation Analysis, will be giving a lecture entitled "When Practice Does Not Make Perfect: On the Intervention of Entitlement, Obligation and Solidarity in the Selection of Next Speaker", on Friday, May 11, 2012, at 12:00p.m., at the Amphitheatre of the New Wing, Faculty of Philosophy.
Professor Lerner will also conduct a guided data analysis workshop entitled "Body Trouble and its Remediation". The workshop will take place on Tuesday, May 8, 2012, 17:00-20:00, at the Library of the Department of Linguistics, Old Building of the Faculty of Philosophy, Room 309. The workshop is addressed to a limited audience with a basic knowledge of the principles of Conversation Analysis (to register, please call: 2310.991315).
