Τα ελληνικά ως δεύτερη γλώσσα, Β' κύκλος. Βιβλίο του μαθητή [Modern Greek as a second language. Course B. Student’s book]
F. Valsamaki & A. Hatzipanagiotidis
This is the second book in the Modern Greek as a second language series. It is intended for students who have a rudimentary grasp of the language (basic communicative circumstances combined with elementary grammarical and syntactic needs) and wish to perfect and systematize the knowledge they have acquired in the beginners’ course. The book consists of 20 modules, each of which, along with the module’s main topic, covers the related grammatical and syntactic phenomena introduced in it.
There is a gradual presentation and development of the phenomena under examination, with a special emphasis on the basic structure of our language. These are followed by grammar and vocabulary exercises intended to help students acquire, in a pleasant manner, the ability to reproduce linguistic models along with the ability to produce spontaneous speech. The grammar of each module is repeated in special pages at the end of it so that it can be used as a reference guide depending on student needs. The book also includes a complete glossary translated into Engilsh and Russian.
The authors have taught Modern Greek as a second/foreign language for many years at the School of Modern Greek Language, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki.
