This volume contains reprints of articles written by Vasilis D. Foris that focus mainly on the language issue, the monotonic system and the idiom of Kozani. Vasilis Foris served as an associate of the Institute from 1960 to 1970 and then as its director until 1991. In the 1976 language reform, he participated in various committees for the establishment of Demotic in state education and in various sectors of state administration. His knowledge and devotion to the teachings of M. Triandaphyllidis combined with his resolve and enthusiasm.
