A Tribute to Manolis Triandaphyllidis and to the Institute of Modern Greek Studies

The Philologists' Association and the Cultural Movement of the Rodopi County co-organized a symposium entitled "A Tribute to Manolis Triandaphyllidis (1883-1959) – 50 years since his death – and to the Manolis Triandaphyllidis Foundation". The symposium was held on 20 January 2010, at the exhibition center of the Society of the People of Komotini, in Komotini, Thrace.
The following presentations were made:
B. Melikidou, Dr. of Philology, secondary school teacher, associate of the Institute: "M. Triandaphyllidis' work". Dr. Melikidou talked about M. Triandaphyllidis' work and his overall contribution to Greek literary affairs.
G. Papanastassiou, Director of the Institute: "The work of the Institute of Modern Greek Studies: a philologist's library". Professor Papanastassiou referred to the Institute's history and its most influential publications.
